Wei Luo is managing member of VS Capital Gateway LLC which he helped founded and operated in serving small and medium size businesses that are seeking opportunities in greater China for corporate finance, M&A, and other strategic collaborations. Wei was born and grew up in Beijing up to 1992, and then, resided in the southern land of California since. In early 90', He was the first entrepreneur who promoted and exported in large quantity of the used heavy duty construction equipments and machinery from the US to China. He might most likely be the first broker of that a US publicly listed company acquired and merged a Shanghai based motorcycle manufacturer. In 1988, Wei went to work for the China National Machinery Import and Export Ltd. (CMC, a Fortune 100 company in China now and then.) where he rapidly advanced his career ladder from a project manager to the VP of the company's US operation d/b/a CMC Pacific Tools, Inc. located in Pomona, California in 1992. In 1995, Wei decided to leave the company for his own business adventure and stay with his wife Grace who was pursuing her doctrine degree in USC in gerontology. He started up ACE Diamond Products Corporation in 1995 and sold it in 1998. After 6 month study, Wei passed all the licenses required as a financial advisor and went to work for Prudential Equity Group in Prudential Financial. He was the registered securities principal with S6, S63, S65, S7, S26/S24 licensed and certified in financial planning, agency director and manager in financial planning in Prudential Financial before he left the company for his new career three years ago. He was the President Trophy winner of the Jenison- Dryden Funds in 2005. Wei has spent 17 years out of his 28 total adult life, and probably rest of it, in the United States of America. He is committed to spend his life time to keep USA and China as closely as possible through his work, since one is his native country and the other is her two daughters'. His daughters, Vivian and Salena, have made Wei's life ever more meaningful. Wei is a very good listener and skillful mediator especially when it comes up to the China and the US related business issues, being a person who has long time working experience in the Fortune companies of both the US and China. He truly believes that if he wants to convey his message to his listener and convince him/her, he has to shout his mouth up first for his counterparty. And he finds this works particu- larly well with his true love and life time companion Grace in the kitchen room. Wei is also shareholder and advisor to a few China-US based public companies, such as Zhouyuan Seeds & Nursery, Inc in Delaware, and Tank Sports, Inc. in California. He loves to travel, read and play golf, tennis both on ground and table. He marries to Grace Chen since 1989. Wei holds BS in economics from the Beijing Economics Institute and MSFS from the American College, and is the executive education graduate from the Harvard Business School in Harvard University. |
